Description
Sebifin Tablet contains Terbinafine, an antifungal medication belonging to the allylamine class, used to treat a variety of fungal infections. It is effective against fungal infections of the skin such as tinea corporis (ringworm), tinea pedis (athlete’s foot), and tinea cruris (jock itch), and is also indicated for tinea capitis (scalp ringworm) and onychomycosis (fungal nail infections) . Terbinafine works by specifically inhibiting an enzyme called squalene epoxidase in the fungal cell membrane, which leads to a deficiency in ergosterol and the accumulation of squalene, ultimately causing fungal cell death .
