Description
Bactrim DS Tablet contains a higher dose of Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim to provide potent antibacterial activity for moderate to severe infections. It is used for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, traveler’s diarrhea, and certain skin conditions. The combination works synergistically to block bacterial folic acid synthesis, leading to bacterial death. Tablets should be taken exactly as prescribed and with adequate fluid intake. Completing the entire course ensures complete eradication of bacteria and helps prevent resistance.
